Designed during the COVID-19 Pandemic and based on the early and mid-century dancing shape animations by Oskar Fischinger, "In the Fourth Year" is a non-representational telling of early twentieth century affairs such as the Red Scare, the World Wars, and the Influenza Pandemic. The research into this commentary, in addition to the inspiration of horror and suspense, led to the creation of this motion graphic.
